Tom Was Asked To Check In Parents House

Tom was asked to check in on his parent’s house while his brother, Bob, was on vacation

Bob called to check in and asked how things were going.

Tom replied “Everything is good, except the family cat died.”

Bob says “Couldn’t you be less blunt?”

Tom asks “What do you mean?”

Bob replies “Well, if I ask how the cat is, say the cat is on the roof, then the next time, you could tell me it died”

The next week, Bob calls and after a short discussion, asks how their mom is doing.

Tom replies “She’s on the roof”
